Outings and TripsTrips and outings at Thames Tiddlers Nursery are organised around the Early Years curriculum to support their understanding of the current enquires and project taking place. We often have opportunities for spontaneous
trips in the local area, ranging from visits to the woods, park areas and local shops. Outings and Walks We try and organise outings that can be educational but fun for the child’s everyday experiences and learning development. Some of our trips have included Christmas Tree and Godstone farm, The Science Museum, the Environmental Centre, Victoria Gardens and Bostal Woods. We encourage the parent/carer to volunteer on some of the outings to help and support the staff and to make some of the trips possible as correct ratios need to be in place. Small groups of children will often go for short walks within the local area that have not been planned in advance. This will usually happen if the child to educator ratio is appropriate. There is a form available to fill out in your application pack if you wish to consent to this. There is usually a charge for the main trips to cover the costs of the coach and entrance fee (if applicable). |
