The Pre-school room

We have a new beautiful pre-school room built in the garden space in September 2017. The children seem to love this new space as they can really focus on their enquiries with their peers and teachers. Each space is unique and equipped with specialised materials for the children to use to enable the children to express their ideas and theories for projects and for new enquiries to develop.

The environment is full of creative and natural materials to enable the children to express and understand the world around them. The children encounter materials such as clay, paints, recycled and natural objects for which they can use to construct, build and piece together their own compositions.

Karly is the pedagogical lead in the preschool room and works closely with educators in creating rich and well resourced learning spaces.  Karly combines current interests and fascinations to more structured  teachings that she plans for the children who will be attending reception class the following year. These experiences take place daily in the garden, pre-school building and atelier where child are given time and space to focus on their own independent learning. Samantha is the head of room and deputy manager at Thames Tiddlers Nursery and works closely with Karly to support a rich learning environment for the children.
