Toddler Room

The Toddler Room

The Toddler Room consists of seven educators working at different times and up to 20 children within this space. Karly Cooper is the pedagogical lead, supports the ongoing development of projects and enquiries within the room. Shayla Brinkly is the head of room and works alongside Karly and all educators. The toddler and pre-school room has been separated since September 2017 and we believe this is having a positive impact on the children. The toddler room space has an atelier, TIC and SEN (Together in Communication and Special educational needs) area, toilets, kitchen and other interesting and inviting spaces for the children to explore. Such as a sand space, a rich and inviting home corner, construction and loose parts area and much more.

We are very lucky of the large garden space we have at Thames Tiddlers Nursery and using this space is a big part of the daily sessions and exploration with the children. The children can free flow for the majority of the day between indoor and outdoor spaces with educators supporting their experiences in these environments.
